We ask for a photo of your hair. That deserves a plain explanation of what happens to it — not four pages of legal language.

Payment is handled entirely by Stripe, a certified payment processor used by millions of businesses. Card details are entered inside their secure field and travel directly to them, encrypted. We receive only the outcome — the amount, the last four digits, and whether it succeeded.
Your photo is read by an image-analysis service in the United States, under contract to us. It describes your hair's texture, porosity, moisture and condition — nothing else. It is never used to train any software, and the service keeps no copy.
If you do not create an account, the photo is processed and not kept. It exists only for the seconds the analysis takes.
If you create an account, we store it in a private space so we can compare it with your next photo eight weeks later. It is never made public, never sold, and never used to train any software.
You can delete it at any time from your account. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not build profiles for anyone else.
Running a shop means using a handful of specialist services — one to take payments, one to host the site, one to send email, one to read hair photos. Each is bound by contract to use your information only for the task we give them, and never for their own purposes.
They are all established companies with published privacy practices. If you want to know exactly which, write to hello@bidess.com and we will tell you — it is your right to ask, and we will answer plainly.
Each of these acts on our instructions and for no other purpose.
Your cart, your ritual and your wash plan are saved in your browser's local storage so they survive a refresh. Nothing there is sent to us unless you create an account. Clearing your browser data removes it.
We do not use advertising cookies or third-party trackers.
We email you your order confirmation, and — if you set a wash plan — a reminder on your wash days only. Every email carries an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops the reminders and keeps your account intact.
We do not send text messages.
Wherever you live, you can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, delete it, or send you a copy. Write to us and we answer within thirty days.
If you live in California, the CCPA and CPRA also give you the right to know what is collected and why, to delete it, to correct it, to limit the use of sensitive information, and to be treated no differently for exercising any of these. We do not sell or share personal information as those laws define it.
This site is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us a photo, write to us and we will delete it.
If this policy changes in a way that affects you, we will say so on this page and, where it matters, by email. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
You may give us your email address in exchange for a discount code. We store the address, the date, and where it came from — nothing else. No name, no phone number, no address.
We use it to send you the code and, occasionally, a letter about the brand. Every message carries an unsubscribe link, and you can also write to hello@bidess.com to be removed. Removal is honoured within a few days.
The list is held in our own database, not in a marketing tool. It is never sold, rented or shared.
We use a measurement tool from Meta to understand which pages people visit and which lead to an order. It tells us how many, never who: it never receives your name, your email, your hair photo or your reading.
You can turn this off in your browser settings, or through your Meta account settings if you have one. Nothing on this site stops working if you do.
